Eel Alternatives Lure Series ~ Wobble Head Tubes- 1 1/2 & 3 Ounces: Accept no imitations! These unique surge tube lures with swim plates are armed with 6/0 and 7/0 stainless steel hooks respectively, connected by 60 lb. wire. The 1 1/2 oz. is 10 in. long and the 3 oz. is 12 in. long. Both have taken multiple stripers over 30 lbs.from the rocks, boat, and kayak!! They have an incredible, life like, live eel action! They can be cast from shore like a live eel or trolled at low speed from a boat or kayak ( no worm needed with this lure, but feel free to experiment!). 


Wobble Heads - (packaged with or without 6 inch and 8 inch grubs) 3/4 oz. , 1 1/4 oz. : These heads are modeled after the old ~ tin squid heads~ of the old days. They have been adapted with a spike to hold rubber baits like the grubs. We package them with or any number of other rubber baits available today. Also, as written in The Fisherman Magazine, September 1, 2005 issue ~ Fisherman's Work Bench ~ They can be rigged with a dead eel. These heads have a side to side motion in the water that imparts surprisingly life-like action to this lure. An eel rigged on a 1 1/4 oz. Wobble Head fooled a 43 1/2 lb striper this year Eel Bobs- 1 oz. : What's old is new again. The old timers used these with great success on stripers. A perfect use for your dead eels, and keeps them down in the roughest conditions. Simply cut the back 8 in. of a dead eel, thread it on the swinging stainless steel hook, and tie it down behind the lead head. After fishing, store them in a kosher salt brine in the freezer to be used again. Eel Skin Jig -3 oz. : Tie on an eel skin and the water flows through the jig to inflate the skin like a like eel. Very effective in deep fast moving water. It cast well and gets down fast.
